Who We Are

Who we are

Jock Lowe BSc, PhD, D.Sc, D.Univ, F.RAeS

The Extended Single Runway was initially developed by Captain Jock Lowe.

Jock, who has a degree in Engineering, a PhD in Applied Science and Honorary Doctorates from the University of Birmingham and London City for services to aviation, is the first man since Sir Sefton Branckner in 1929 to be President of both the Royal Aeronautical Society and Master of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators.

His experience as the world’s longest-serving Concorde pilot and British Airways Chief Pilot led to the development of the Extended Single Runway as a specific proposal for optimising efficiency and expanding capacity at Heathrow Airport.

It has subsequently been developed as a turn-key solution for a safe, rapid, and less environmentally damaging means of increasing airport capacity suitable for deployment at multiple airports around the world.

Andrew Taylor BSc BFP FCA

Andrew trained as a Chartered Accountant with EY LLP in London before moving into industry with BAE Systems plc. He was a director on the board between 2008-11.

His rail experience includes the first privately funded station in London and a new, privately financed link between the South Western and Great Western Main Lines, serving Heathrow but providing new orbital connections to relieve the SW quadrant of the M25 and opening up new journey opportunities.

Steven also has extensive experience of commercial development, including as a founding Director of a hotel and leisure group with properties across the UK and Europe.
